Stop.Breathe.Think Celebrates a Landmark Evening, Raising £50,000 to Support Young People’s Mental Health

The team at Stop.Breathe.Think are delighted to announce the tremendous success of our first ever Charity Black Tie Dinner, held on Friday 15th May 2026 at the prestigious Intercontinental London Park Lane.

The sold‑out event welcomed over 400 guests for an unforgettable evening of 80s‑inspired celebration and generosity, raising an outstanding £50,000 to fund vital early‑intervention counselling for young people across the UK.

Hosted by long‑term SBT supporter Craig Goldblatt and the exceptional team at Champions Events, the night combined glamour and purpose from the moment our guests arrived for a champagne reception. The evening began with a heartfelt message from Craig to welcome guests and highlight the huge importance of the evening, the charity and the need to better support our young people’s mental health. Stop.Breathe.Think extends a special thank you to Craig, whose tireless effort and passion over so many months ensured the success of the evening and level of funds raised.

The evening was compered by Olympic medalist Gail Emms MBE, with entertainment from X‑Factor star Andy Abraham, pianist Adrian Dixon and the legendary party band Mad Hen. Renowned auctioneer Charlie Ross led the live auction with his trademark wit and energy which included luxury stays in St Lucia to Gold Hospitality tickets to Harry Styles! These, alongside several other great lots, created a lively and generous bidding atmosphere.

A defining moment of the evening was the premiere of Stop.Breathe.Think’s new short film, Tap to unmute, created through the extraordinary generosity of Heads Up Productions and Really Good Films, who gave their time for free to create a film with SBT which highlights the critical importance of early intervention in young people’s mental health.

The film follows James, a teenage boy quietly struggling with anxiety and isolation, not knowing where to turn and facing the reality of a long wait to get any support. A story that mirrors the experiences of many young people who reach out to the charity every day. The film captures the impact of early intervention and the positive change that can be delivered if young people receive the help they need when they ask for it – not years later. The room fell silent as the film concluded, a shared moment of reflection that underscored the urgency of the charity’s mission.

Dan Charlish, Founder of Stop.Breathe.Think, introduced the film and thanked everyone in the room for their wonderful support for the charity:

“Tonight has shown what is possible when people come together with passion and purpose. Every pound raised will help ensure that young people are not left waiting for support at the moment they need it most. We are deeply grateful to Craig, Champions Events and every guest who stood with us and backed our mission tonight. You have changed many young lives.” — Dan Charlish, Founder of Stop.Breathe.Think

The £50,000 raised will directly fund counselling sessions for children and young people, bringing the charity closer to its mission of ensuring every young person has someone to talk to when they need it – without the wait. If you would like to be a part of this mission, we would love to hear from you. Please email dan@stopbreathethink.org.uk. Thank you.
