Support us this Mental Health Awareness Week

Stop.Breathe.Think provides free online counselling to children and young people who would not normally be able to afford it, getting support to them immediately and preventing the downward spiral into crisis and further mental health struggles. As a charity, we rely on donations, fundraisers and partnerships to offer much needed mental health support to young people across the country.

Stop.Breathe.Think supports families, schools and colleges and the wider health sector, getting support to young people immediately, helping them and their families lead healthier, happier lives. To date, we have supported more than 3,000 young people, delivered over 17,000 counselling sessions and partnered with 120 youth organisations, but we need to do more.

Be Out There

From the 13th – 19th May we are asking  our partners to Be Out There by taking lessons outside, hold an outdoor assembly, walk a mile together or turn lunchtime into an outdoor picnic. It is entirely up to you and what works best for your school, staff and pupils!

What makes the Be Out There campaign unique is that your fundraising will be allocated back to your pupils. By raising £1 per pupil for Stop.Breathe.Think your fundraising will provide access to vital mental health and wellbeing support for your pupils.

For example, for every £249 raised one of your pupils can be supported with six online counselling sessions and have access to our wellbeing drop-in sessions and 24/7 text support service.

Being outdoors improves mental health. It is also extensively proven that young people can learn better and achieve more when learning outside, feeling happier and healthier as a result.  We would love for your school to be involved in raising awareness of mental health and support Stop.Breathe.Think at the same time!

If you would like to be involved contact hello@stopbreathethink.org.uk – we can send you further free resources including information to share with staff, parents and pupils, assembly ideas and mental health and wellbeing lesson plans for Mental Health Awareness Week.

Join #teamSBT by taking on a fundraising challenge. Climb a mountain, run a marathon, enter a triathlon, organise a bake sale... whatever the challenge, we are here to support you. Get in touch with our team today to tell us how you'd like to raise money for us.
